Half-centuries from Sabir Mahmood (62) and skipper Adam Patrick (51) helped Pudsey Congs to stave off the threat of Richard Butcher – who returned the day’s best bowling figures of 6-28, as they made a match-winning total of 195-9 against East Ardsley in the Division One League Cup.
Oliver Appleyard made a battling 47 in East Ardsley’s reply of 155-8 as Patrick (3-26) helped Congs to secure the victory.

Pudsey Congs went to the top of the Division One league Cup East Section after a 62-run win over Carlton.
Bilal Butt (42) and skipper Adam Patrick (34) helped them post 194-8 before dismissing Carlton for 132. Patrick led from the front with 4-29.
Sept 19,2020 - Covid Cup Final v Baildon @ Jenny Lane
The Pudsey Congs second team made it a day of double success for their club as they defeated Baildon by 36 runs in the Division One final at Jenny Lane.
Congs looked to be in trouble when they were reduced to 57-6 after opting to bat first, but Andre Stolarski (48no) and Mark Ferguson (47) revived their side with a stand of 94 which enabled them to post a score of 171-8. Spinner Jamie Abbott (2-19) bowled a tidy eight over spell for Baildon.
The home side were soon struggling in reply with only Haris Hussain (41no) looking at ease as Hassan Butt (4-31) and Josh Chapman (3-7) got to work.
